About the Role A Brooklyn-based recording studio and music production company with a 25-year history is hiring a Creative Direction Consultant. The company has facilitated recordings for notable artists and provided music for major broadcast channels and high-profile events. It is now venturing into artist development and is looking for an experienced music industry creative director to help develop an international, multi-genre visual branding strategy for its creative music team based in New York City and Medellin, Colombia.

This is a remote contract engagement requiring availability via digital communication tools. The consultant will shape how the brand looks and feels across integrated marketing campaigns, social campaigns, digital music media, and physical media.

What the Role Covers

  • Creating a vision for the brand that translates into powerful, authentic storytelling driving awareness and consideration
  • Developing the creative vision across integrated marketing campaigns, social campaigns, digital music media, and physical media
  • Leading the visual development of brand campaigns, providing expertise in typography, color theory, layout, and user experience
  • Leading creative brainstorming sessions with clear guidance, feedback, and inspiration
  • Providing strategic guidance to artists on the most effective creative direction, narrative, and assets for individual campaigns
  • Offering insight into industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices
  • Developing the end-to-end creative process from concept to final execution, ensuring alignment with brand values and marketing objectives
Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of experience at a major record label or large indie label
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in graphic design, visual brand management, or similar
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present concepts and strategies to artists
  • Familiarity with global branding and working across international markets
  • Passionate about music and culture
