Services Sales Specialist - Retail Industry Solutions<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b>Description -</b></p><p><b>Job Summary</b><br>HP is seeking a Services Specialist to lead solutions based customer engagements working with Retail Industry Solutions team across the end-to-end services lifecycle. This individual contributor role combines consultative selling, solution leadership, and deal execution accountability, partnering closely with Account Managers to shape, develop, and close high-value services opportunities that support customers’ workplace and IT transformation objectives.</p><p><br>The Retail Services Specialist is the deal leader for services led pursuits, owning services strategy, solution design, and commercial execution from early discovery through contract signature and structured handover to delivery teams. Managed Services & Solutions span discovery and design, lifecycle management, digital experience, and the ongoing monitoring and management of end user computing environments.</p><p><br>This is a customer-facing, quota-carrying role, measured on Total Contract Value (TCV), pipeline creation, win rate, deal quality, and clean handover to delivery. The role reports to the U.S. Market Services Sales Leader.<br><br><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><p></p><p><b>Customer & Sales Leadership</b></p><ul><li><p>Drive outcome-based value propositions aligned to customer strategies and business priorities.</p></li><li><p>Engage senior IT and business decision makers, including executive-level stakeholders.</p></li><li><p>Lead services opportunities end-to-end across pre-RFP and formal sales motions.</p></li><li><p>Build, forecast, and advance a high-quality pipeline of strategic services opportunities.</p></li><li><p>Translate customers’ needs into integrated services solutions across lifecycle, managed, digital, and professional services. </p></li><li><p>Contribute to strategic account reviews, quarterly business reviews, and customer planning activities. </p></li><li><p>Work closely with and coordinate across local market services category teams, presales and industry specialists, digital sales, solution architects, legal, marketing, finance, cybersecurity, and delivery and transition teams to deliver executable, signed contracts.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Solutions and Value Creation</b></p><ul><li><p>Lead customer discovery to understand business challenges, IT environments, risks, and goals.</p></li><li><p>Translate needs into integrated, outcome-based services solutions.</p></li><li><p>Develop and present solution narratives, proposals, and ROI-driven business cases.</p></li><li><p>Guide solution design toward standardized, repeatable offerings that balance customer value with scalability. </p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Governance, Negotiation and Handover</b></p><ul><li><p>Lead commercial discussions and contract negotiations through signature.</p></li><li><p>Apply HP negotiation guardrails and manage contractual risk.</p></li><li><p>Ensure deal structures, pricing, scope, and contractual language align with approved financials and governance outcomes </p></li><li><p>Execute clean solution handover to transition and delivery teams.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Education & Experience Recommended</b></p><ul><li><p>Four-year or Graduate Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.</p></li><li><p>Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in IT consulting, managed services, outsourcing sales, and/or IT services delivery within the retail industry</p></li><li><p>Broad understanding of workplace IT, end user computing, digital experience, asset lifecycle, and IT operations. </p></li><li><p>Strong storytelling, presentation, business case development skills</p></li><li><p>Proven success leading large, complex, multi-stakeholder services deals.</p></li><li><p>Experience engaging senior decision makers and influencing outcomes at executive level</p></li><li><p>Strong contract structuring, negotiation, and risk management skills.</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Preferred candidates will live in the eastern seaboard within close proximity to a major US airport.</p><p></p><p><b>Disclaimer</b></p><ul><li>This job description describes the general nature and level of work performed in this role.
