Senior Manager, Media Strategy - Now Hiring

As the Senior Manager of Media Strategy for Shopper Campaigns, you’ll lead the team responsible for developing high‑impact media strategies that connect brand partners with our shoppers in meaningful ways. You’ll guide a talented group of strategists, collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, and influence how critical partners show up across our retail media ecosystem. This is a highly collaborative, fast-paced role that requires strong media expertise, strategic thinking, and strong leadership and communication skills. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to both internal stakeholders and external partners, translating insights into compelling media strategies that drive performance and strengthen partner relationships.

This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work on site Monday through Thursday at the Best Buy corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota. You can work virtually from home or another non Best Buy location on Friday. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

What you’ll do
  • Lead the development of shopper‑focused media strategies for key brand partners and categories.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of media strategists supporting partner‑driven programs.
  • Partner with category marketing, sales, creative account management, analytics, and channel teams to build integrated, insight‑driven plans.
  • Partner with media agencies to shape media strategies, guide plan development, and ensure high-quality execution.
  • Oversee strategic frameworks, briefs, and recommendations that guide campaign execution and partner alignment.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance partner value, improve campaign performance, and evolve strategic best practices.

Basic qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in media strategy, retail media, digital marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of people management experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in shopper marketing, media planning, and partner-driven campaign development, with demonstrated experience leading end-to-end campaign strategy and execution that drive intended outcomes.
  • Ability to translate insights into compelling strategic narratives and partner recommendations.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience working directly with major brand partners or enterprise‑level advertisers.
  • Background in retail media networks or shopper‑focused marketing environments.
  • Familiarity with omnichannel media planning and measurement.
